Frequently Asked Questions

PaddleFit Experience FAQ

Do you provide equipment?

No we do not. Please bring all the standard SUP equipment which includes: paddle, board, PDF and leash.

What do I wear for the class?

The conditions will vary from location to location. We recommend that you wear what you would normally wear when you paddle. We also recommend that you prepare for water conditions that may be colder or hotter than what you are used to. So in some locations that take place in cold water we recommend that you bring a wetsuit.

I am a newer paddler and I am not sure if I am ready for this, should I participate?

We welcome all levels of experience and we truly mean that. To be honest, the sooner that you can join us the better. A lot of people develop bad habits because they have never learned the fundamentals. If you are a newer paddler we can help you learn the fundamentals without having to break any bad habits. Also keep in mind that our main focus is fun.

I am not a racer and don’t take paddling seriously, is the PaddleFit Experience for me?

Yes it is. We all want to be healthy and fit and the PaddleFit Experience is a great step in that direction. Stand up paddling is a great form of exercise and at the same time fun, we build off of this concept and create a fun experience that is for everyone. Our goal in everything we do is to hide the fitness behind the fun.

I am a racer and not sure if the PaddleFit Experience is right for me.

We love SUP racing and in fact our founder Brody Welte is the only coach in US history to lead Team USA to a World Championship gold medal as the race coach. Our philosophy is that to be the best racer you need to first be the best athlete you can be. Our comprehensive approach sets us apart from every other clinic out there and we believe that our PaddleFit Experience will be the best thing that you can do to get better at racing.

How do we know if the class is sold out or not?

Our sign up process is automated online.  When we reach maximum capacity in our classes the "Registration" button will switch over to "Sold Out" and you can no longer click on it.  Our classes typically sell out about a month in advance so if you know what class you want to attend make sure you sign up as soon as you can.

What is PaddleFit's cancellation policy?

PaddleFit has the highest commitment to quality education with small coach to student ratios and the most highly trained coaches. We also invest considerable amounts of resources producing the materials and teaching tools for each specific person in the event and because of these reasons we are unable to issue refunds for cancellations. However, we can apply your registration fee to a future PaddleFit event with administration fees as follows:

More than 14 days notice: you can apply the full amount of your registration to a future PaddleFit event.

Less than 14 days notice: you can apply your registration fee minus an administration fee of 25% of the total event cost.

7 days notice: you can apply your registration fee minus an administration fee of 50% of the total event cost.

Less than 7 days notice or no notice; you forfeit your entire event fee.

Weather Cancellation Policy

If a course date needs to be cancelled or postponed due to poor weather then we will reschedule the event at a later date and transfer you into that event.

Insufficient Attendance

PaddleFit reserves the right to cancel and reschedule any event if it is deemed that there are not enough participants registered for the event.
